Flash Animation

This page shows off my flash animation files. However I have to go back and rewrite most of them in action script 2.0 Please look up and set the computer to allow the website to run an ActiveX script. These flash files were part of my homework for my intro to flash class. The further into the class I got the more complex the animation became. From the first assigment which was frame by frame animation. Moving from one part of the screen to the other side. After that came the knowledge of Motion Tweens. Then we learned about the many ways that motion tweens can be used, rather than merely left to right, or up to down.

After that we were taught Shape Tweens, and that it applied to more than merely shapes. It also would effect the color if it was changed from one frame to another, giving it the effect of morphing over time. Then we learned that there were more techniques to utilize than the simple "tweens". Next came the effects of Masking Layers, and changing tint. After that came Guided Layers where you could make an object move in a complex path without having to create multiple sets of motion tweens within the same layer. From that point we focused on the use of Buttons. Buttons were used for various function: Causing the animation to start or stop, a sound effect to occur, or merely to look pretty. However there is more than one way to create the buttons to function. One is in the button itself by the changing the 4 simlpe states of the button. Another way was to write it up in action script. Then I was taught how to insert whole music files into the stage, and modify them to loop continously. For the final the instructor told us we were to make a puzzle with at least 50 pieces, and have music play in the background while you solved it.
